The real title of this comic is:
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time meets Four Swords
But that wouldn't fit in the title submition box.

Well here is my first Zelda fan comic, and hopefully not my last. It took well over 40 hours to complete (seeing as it my first time doing a comic this way,) with much help from my sister Jianre-M [link] especially on the poses. Comic was done in 99.9% vectors using Photoshop CS2

I have always been a Zelda fan, and after playing through Twilight Princess I had the urge to replay Ocarina of Time to compare the differences (I believe that OoT was better written story wise in many ways, though the gameplay was TONS better in TP.)

...Anyway, it was durring my replay of OoT that I realized the four girls who appear to have a major crush on link (Zelda, Ruto, Malon, and Saria) are color coded very similarly to the four links in Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures. (For those of you unfamiliar with these games Link actually aquires a magic sword called the "Four Sword" which splits him into four copies of himself.)

The biggest artistic licence I took in making this comic was to make Saria older, so as to be old enough to have a romantic interest in Link... and I did have a justification for doing this.

When you play through Ocarina of Time, the Kokiri tell you that if any of them ever left the forest, they would die. Now when I first played the game I caught the hint that the kokori where perpetually children (which I thought was obvious considering that there where no adults around.) And so when I heard that the Kokori would die when they left the forest, I assumed that this meant that they would lose thier eternal youth, grow old, and eventually die... but that the Kokiri, being children, did not understand this.

There is evidence to support my theory, in that after adult Link awakens the Forest Temple, Saria herself, being a Kokiri, actually did leave the forest in order to go to the chamber of Sages in the sacred realm and become a sage, helping Link defeat Ganon.

Notice that Saria did not die when she left the forest, despite what the Great Deku Tree said. If my theory is correct, Saria would begin aging, just like a normal Hylian from this point on... Of course if you don't like that explanation we can just say that Saria got ahold of an aging potion just for this occasion.

...Enjoy!

Definately good, even if the simplistic style does not accurately reflect how much time and effort I know you put into this. Hope you get better and faster at this sort of thing.

The independant... suffer from dependance.

I did remember the credits... but wasnt sure if that wasn't just a "casting call" so to speak

Glad you liked the comic, thanks.
